What a weekend...!
On Friday it was finally time for our first Norway-trip this year. Our friendI fredags var det äntligen dags för årets första Norgeresa. Vår kompis Kerstin kom med fullpackad bil förbi oss vid lunchtid och hämtade upp mig (Fanny), samt Prima och Yoshi som skulle visas varsin dag i Olso. Kerstin hade med sig sin golden Miles, som är kullbror till vår Kylie. Resan gick bra och hotellet var utmärkt och vi var så laddade inför helgens tävlingar. Norska kenneklubben hade två utställningar, på lördagen med kvalificering till Crufts och på söndagen var det Norsk vinnarutställning. Lördagmorgonen började aningen kaotisk då vi fick stå i bilkö in till utställningsområdet i nästan en timme och fick sedan jobba hårt för att hitta en bra tältplats på det trånga området. Regn hade gjort marken lerig på sina håll och katalogen var feltryckt. Trots detta var vi vid gott mod och Miles började starkt med att vinna cert och blev därmed norsk och nordisk champion. Prima var inte sämre utan vann ett hett eftertraktat CACIB och blev Internationell champion! Detta måste förstås godkännas av FCI, men gissa om vi var glada! Dessutom blev vår Donnas kullbror CH Dewmist Serrano bästa hane!
Dagen avslutades med middag och bubbel för att fira dag 1!
På söndagen var det dags för Yoshi som fick möta tufft motstånd. Han lyckades ändå bli BIR och fick sin femte titel och 16:e BIR, detta på 16 starter! Han är numera även Norsk vinnare 2010! Ännu roligare var att Kerstins Miles också blivit bästa hane och fick titeln han också!
Inför finalerna shoppade vi och njöt av vår fina helg, även om förhoppningarna inför grupptävlingen inte var alltför höga, då hela grupp 4 och 6 tävlar tillsammans i Norge, och bestod nu av drygt 30 hundar istället för enbart 9 taxar....
Gruppen dömdes av Göran Hallberger från Sverige, en domare vi aldrig tidigare ställt för, och jag var såklart jätteglad när Yoshi var utplockad bland de 6 bästa. Jag kunde bara inte tro det när vinnaren ropades ut och det var Yoshi!! Helt omtumlade blev vi fotade och fick ta ett ärevarv i ringen, för att kort därefter gå in i BIS-finalen. Yoshi skötte sig så himla väl och visade sig som aldrig förr, men fick tyvärr ingen placering i BISet. Vi är så otroligt stolta över denna lilla kille som bara överträffar sig själv om och om igen! Tusen tack och grattis Kerstin för en härlig resa!

Early on Sunday morning we arrived to Köping for the int KC show. We didn't even make it to our ring before we were soaking wet, the rain was pouring down... However, the sun broke out when
Yoshi entered the ring, and he showed his socks off and won another BOB!

A great weekend has passed!
Yesterday we went to the Spaniel and retriever specialty in Högbo Bruk with Prima and also Troja, who has just turned 2 years and was now to be shown for the first time in open class. She made a quick visit in that class, for she can now title herself as Swedish show champion! Prima was best bitch and BOS, and Troja was second best bitch behind her.
Things couldn't have been better!
We are now returned and recovered from 4 days at the World dog show in Herning, Denmark. Many experiences and moments, meetings with new and old friends, disappointments and euforic happiness, great dinners and many miles has passed. In other words, we have a lot of memories from this trip, but one stands out from the others. That was when our dear dachsie Yoshi made our dream come true and got to run first in the lap of honor in the breed ring, with the BOB-rosette waving in Fannys hand.
We went to Denmark with hopes, not expectations, but this we had never dared to dream of.
We couldn't wipe the smiles of or faces that day!
And we probably won't for the rest of this year. At least.

Whenever the dachsies don't live it up here at home, they give it all in the show ring. Yesterday w showed "Fannie", CH Heatwave Cévennes, and her son "Yoshi", FINW-09 FINJW-09 Heatwave Heaven Sent at the Swedish winner show in Avesta. Fannie went out pretty strongly, and Yoshi followed in his mother's paw-steps! Read more under Results!

We have been to another show, this time in Gothenburg. Another BOB and BIS-2 for Donna, who is really giving it all at the moment! We would also like to congratulate our travel partner Kicki, whose "Sandra", Dewmist Sacharanza, won her first CC! We were in a very good spirit on the way home!

We spent this sunny and cold Sunday in Mjölby at the Spaniel and retriever Specialty. Our two new pups, Porter and Pepper, has just turned 4 months and was first time out in puppy class. We are so happy with them! Donna and Lussan also joined us, read more about how everyone did under Results.

A splendid year of showing is now over, finnishing off this past weekend. On Saturday we attended Finland's biggest dog show in Helsinki, and we spent Sunday at Stockholm International show, HUND09. We could not be prouder of our dogs' achievements!
